Built by the Royal Thai Navy and opened in 1968, Phutaluang is a real character course set in some of Thailand's loveliest natural surroundings. The 27 hole, par 27 hilly layout demands physical and mental skills  and accurate play. The dramatic 1st tee offers a spectacular 410 yard par 4 and requires a good  shot over thick jungle to a parched fairway with trees on both sides and an approach across a rivulet to a well bunkered sloping green. A good test of golf in a mature setting.
